Privacy Policy

The short version: the AirBench app collects no personal data. No accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. Everything the app records stays on your device unless you explicitly export it.

Who we are

AirBench is developed and operated by Bohdan Mukha, an independent developer. For anything privacy-related, contact [email protected].

The app

AirBench is a wireless diagnostic toolkit. All scan results, device data, GATT structures, MQTT messages, NFC tag contents, bookmarks, and settings are processed and stored locally on your device. The app has no backend — we operate no servers, and the app never transmits your data to us or to anyone else.

  • Bluetooth data — advertisement and GATT data from nearby devices is displayed and stored on your device only.
  • MQTT — the app connects only to brokers you configure. Broker credentials and TLS client certificates are stored in the device Keychain. Traffic flows directly between your device and your broker.
  • NFC — tag contents are read on demand and stored locally.
  • Exports — data leaves the app only when you initiate an export or share, using the system share sheet, to a destination you choose.

Permissions

  • Bluetooth — required for the core scanning and connection features.
  • NFC — used only when you start a tag-reading session.
  • Local network — used only to reach MQTT brokers you configure.

The app requests no location, camera, microphone, or contacts access.

This website

airbench.dev is a static site. It ships no JavaScript, sets no cookies, and runs no analytics. It is served by Cloudflare, whose edge network processes standard request logs (such as IP address and user agent) to deliver and secure the site, as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Email

If you write to [email protected], we use your message and address solely to respond. Mail is routed via Cloudflare Email Routing to a Google mailbox. You can ask us to delete past correspondence at any time.

Your rights

Because the app collects no personal data, there is typically nothing for us to access, correct, or delete — your data is on your device and under your control. For email correspondence, EU/GDPR rights (access, rectification, erasure) apply; contact us and we will act on your request.

Children

AirBench is a professional developer tool and is not directed at children. Regardless, it collects no data from anyone.

Changes

If our practices change, we will update this page and its effective date. Material changes to the app's data handling would be reflected in the App Store privacy label as well.
